Francis, born in 1972, grew up in St-Cyprien, a small town of 600 people near Quebec City, Canada. His parents owned the only club in town, where he developed his great interest for music and his fascination with drums. 

In 1985, at the age of 13, he bought his first drum kit and the next summer, participated to his first music camp, where he decided he was going to pursue a career as a professional drummer. 

At 16, he began to play in clubs with his first top 40 band. At 17, he moved to Montreal to study at the famous Cégep St-Laurent, which was followed by a baccalaureate in pop music at the Université du Québec à Montréal. During his studies, he played with a wide variety of blues, funk, and top 40 bands. 

In 1998, Francis obtained his first contract with a major artist, Lili Fatale (Sony music). Since then, Francis has become one of the most acclaimed and accomplished freelance drummer of his generation. 

He has recorded and toured with an array of distinguished artists, in Canada and Europe; Richard Séguin, Paul Piché, Laurence Jalbert, Jim Corcoran, André Watters, Zachary Richard, Catherine Durand, Natasha St-Pier, Taïma, Kevin Parent, Les Porn Flakes. He is also fortunate to be part of several house band for multi-artist events which allows him to play with several famous local and international names such as Lionel Richie, Dee Snider, Vince Neil, Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Coeur de Pirate, Diane Dufresne, Éric Lapointe and Jason Mraz to name a few. 

For about eight years he has played with David Usher and since 2014 he’s a member of Moist. As so, he took part in the creation of their last album. 

Besides working with various artists and playing in different Casino shows, he is still very active on the Montreal’s club scene with blues and top-40 bands and he’s a full-time drum teacher at the renowned St-Laurent College.
